Recommended Resources That I Use in My Personal Life

I’m constantly being asked what websites or books I read that helped me get shredded so I figured I would dedicate a page to everything that I use and read that has helped me get to where I am now.

Each week I have been getting emails wanting to know what diet I use, what exercise program, and what supplements.

I’ve developed my own training and diet routine (took years to perfect) but the resources below are what I used as the building blocks and foundation of my whole fitness regimen.

Bodybuilding:

The Warrior Shredding Program

Greg O’Gallagher over at Kinobody has helped me transform my whole training philosophy. Almost everything I teach here at Muscles and Stuff is very identical to what Greg teaches in this book.

I utilize his training program along with intermittent fasting (explained in this blog AND in this book) in order to get where I am now. The book speaks for itself as if you look around the internet there are literally hundreds of success stories with the Warrior Shredding Program.

So yeah, I highly recommend it simply because it’s the one thing that skyrocketed my gains in the gym.

I’m going to list a few other books that are also important if you actually want to know what you’re doing in the gym.

Starting Strength by Mark Rippetoe

This has been termed as one of the most useful fitness books. There are going to be a couple exercises in the Warrior Shredding Program that you might need some assistance on. This book is an awesome book if you are just starting out and will greatly fix your squat, deadlift, and bench press (the 3 main lifts).

The New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding: The Bible of Bodybuilding by Arnold Schwarznegger

Everyone needs to have this book. Arnold was a bodybuilding prodigy and his story is truly inspiring. His view on the history and profession of bodybuilding is a really good read. It’s got a crap ton of exercises for every body part.

Diet:

The Kinobody Cookbook by Greg O’Gallagher

Hands down my favorite book when it comes to dieting. Between this kinobody cookbook and Greg’s training program, I literally went from 15% body fat to 10% body fat in a month and a half. He talks about how going too low in any macronutrient is detrimental to your health.

I don’t know about you but its a pain in the ass for me to have to find meals that taste good AND are healthy for you at the same time. The guesswork in cooking is taken out with this book so obviously I strongly recommend it.

Kitchen

Scale

The kitchen scale that I used to weigh my food. I’m gonna say it time and time again, if you want to see results as fast as possible, you HAVE to weigh your food and track your macros. Buy a damn kitchen scale and track your macros if you wanna get shredded.
